July Knitting Challenge!
A couple of weeks ago, I had an idea. The Altamont Fair is coming up – it was cancelled last year but it is a go this year, which is very exciting. Over the years I have often submitted a knitted item to the Wool Nook for judging and once I even won the Grand Champion prize back in 2014! (click there to read the post)
So, my idea: I’m going to choose a challenging knitting project and try to complete it in the month of July and then submit it for judging to the Altamont Fair. My own rules are that I couldn’t start it until today and I have to finish it by July 31. It won’t be due to the fair until August 15, but I wanted it to be challenging, so there you go.
The Pattern: Graceful by Cally Monster
This pattern caught my eye on the Pattern Highlights section of my Ravelry page. That is actually what sparked the idea.
It was one of those patterns that I just became obsessed with and wanted to start it right away. I have been resisting starting it ever since (because of my rule).
The Yarn: West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply
I went right down to The Spinning Room yarn shop and found my yarn. West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply in a pretty shade of lilac.
Starting right after work today! Stay tuned….
